■ Engagement and Innovation Center
|
For better learning outcome, we focus on the education Philosophy of “student-oriented” combining with interactive learning, team based learning, and problem based learning. The brand new Engagement and Innovation Center facilitates students to participate class discussion on business issues actively instead of using traditional teaching method, resulting better absorption with management knowledge. In this customized classroom, tables and chairs can be easily converted from traditional teaching into team discussion setup. Not to mention, In additions, students may review those difficult or unfamiliar subjects after class by using i-learning system for better assurance of learning result. |
■ Financial Information Center
This center has established software and hardware equipment including the CMoney investment decision support system for enterprises, multi-function teaching broadcast system, and 70 personal computers. By using analysis environment of real information of financial commodities quoting, the center provides the virtual trading environment needed by financial courses for students’ learning and students can make an investment decision under real financial markets situation. In addition, other related financial soft equipment can also help students to do specific topic study and business simulations analysis. This center has software and hardware equipment including CMoney investment decision support system for enterprises, multi-function teaching broadcast system, and 70 personal computers. The purpose of this center is to apply computer network’s simulated virtual environment to bring practical applications into related financial courses. By doing this, students can learn more practical skills and knowledge that can enhance their employment capability. |

■ Management Information System Laboratory

This laboratory is one of the important links in the teaching and research of the Department of Industrial Management. It supports all courses that require computer teaching, including general basic courses and professional courses, as well as research and experimental purposes. Management of software applications, programming, statistics, computer graphics ..., and professional courses such as: simulation, database management system, management information systems, enterprise resource planning, job research, interactive web programming. The lab's electronic teaching environment can provide 50 students, equipped with wireless radio system, single-shot projection system, electronic teaching system and computer automatic reduction system. |
■ Laboratory of E-business Simulation
The laboratory is designed to enhance students learning experiences with hardware and e-business related software. It aims to improve the quality of both teaching and studying in CHU campus. The hardware includes 57 PCs, 2 Servers and a classroom broadcasting management system. Thetables in laboratory are designed to fold the LED screens easily and the chairs are designed tobe easily moved and rotated so that group discussion could be facilitated. The software includes Smart Apps Creator, MS Office, SPSS and TQC related one. One goal of establishing this laboratory is to help the students winning more e-business related certificates by practicing PC-based tests. In 2016, 90% of the students taking the related courses such as Project Management or Relation Marketing has passed the tests and awarded with certificates. Many students benefit from using software in this laboratory. Students majoring in business data analysis, logistic analysis, digital marketing and APP development are among those who benefit most. For example, students learn to use Excel for data analysis, Supply Chain Simulation for EOQ simulation, Power BI for sales RFM analysis, Photocap for video editing, and Smart Apps Creator for APP development. |
■ Integrated Laboratory for transportation & logistics

Logistics simulation software, the POS system and logistics picking system are installed in this laboratory for teaching and researching. Also, we cooperate with traffic consultant company to setup an artificial traffic control center. Traffic signal planning software, Synchro, is stalled in the laboratory. Therefore, we can train traffic engineering and transportation management professional qualified works with the combination of the hardware and software. |
■ Oracle School
The University joined the Oracle Academy in 2005 as the first institution in Taiwan to become a member. In 2019, the COM took full advantage of its institutional membership benefits by adopting Oracle Cloud Tier through the Oracle Academy Cloud Program, thus enabling teachers and students to harness their skills and get hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Since then, the college has advanced and offered students the Oracle Database 12c Administrator Certificate Exam, emphasizing the full set of concepts and skills that DBAs need for cloud computing. Recognizing Oracle Academy as the de facto curriculum for database administration and programming, the COM has created what it calls the ‘Oracle School,’ a cross-departmental concept embracing learning resources associated with Oracle technologies. It serves not only as an umbrella for Oracle instruction but also as an intermediary for preparing teachers of the highest quality. Goal: Students equip with SQL programming and Oracle database administration skills.

■ ERP Center
GOAL: Provide SAP ERP, Dingxin ERP system for students to learn ERP knowledge, Support the teaching environment of ERP professional certification courses, Promote students to obtain ERP professional license. To foster CHU’s high-quality teaching objectives with the industry-university link, focusing on the COM’s mission involves innovative teaching, experiential learning, and applied research, and improving student employment competitiveness through case teaching, interactive learning, industrial expertise teaching and license counseling. The ERP center fully supports and develops human resources, including teachers and students from all fields and departments, with the purpose of contributing to the mission of the COM. The purpose and operational strategy of the ERP center is to cooperate with Chinese Enterprise Resource Planning Institute (referred to as ERP Society), by introducing the SAP ERP & Data Systems ERP to the COM. Furthermore, to the aim is provide the latest ERP practical knowledge for students to learn and execute ERP authentication teaching materials provided by the ERP Society, SAP Taiwan, ERP Center of National Central University and Data Systems in a holistic and interdisciplinary manner. In order to achieve effectiveness at the ERP center, it not only provides ERP software and hardware equipment such as SAP ERP and Data Systems ERP to support the teaching environment of ERP professional authentication courses, but it also continuously develops the teaching environment supporting Oracle DBA database authentication and mobile device authentication, so as to leverage the effectiveness of the ERP center to cultivate professional talent by providing experiential learning and fostering professional competence.
